Abstract

The comparison and existence results of the upper and lower solutions are established for a boundary value problem of second-order discrete equation. A monotone iterative scheme is proposed. The local as well as global existence and uniqueness of the solution are obtained. The global convergence of the iteration is investigated. The convergence rate of the iteration is analyzed and compared. Some examples are given.
