title = "Microscopic traffic simulation oriented road network data model",
abstract = "Microscopic traffic simulation focuses on each single vehicle to study traffic flow behaviors. How to build an effective road network model is a challenge when it is applied to a large network. According to the characteristics of micro-simulation, the road network model must be capable to take lanes into account as the minimum simulated unit, including multi-level network elements, and represents the topological relationships among these elements accurately. On the basis of existing models, this article attempts to establish a road network data model for microscopic traffic simulation, and thereafter a simulation prototype is implemented to examine the applicability of the proposed model.",
