Abstract

Recent researches on mechanism of hydrocarbon selective oxidations with hydrogen peroxide catalyzed by metalloporphyrins including iron porphyrins and manganese porphyrins are reviewed in this paper. The strategies to promote hetemlytic cleavage of hydrogen peroxide to facilitate the formation of active high valent metal-oxo species are discussed in detail.
