Abstract

A luminescent film comprising Eu (Ш)-doped yttrium oxide nanosheets was fabricated by electrophoretic deposition, modified by 2-thenoyltrifluoroacetonate, and coated with polystyrene to obtain a novel oxygen sensor capable of detecting both dissolved (DO) and gaseous (GO) oxygen based on luminescence intensity quenching. Based on the results of luminscence lifetime, the mechanism of molecular oxygen–induced luminescence quenching was discussed in detail. The above film exhibited high sensitivity and a well-linear response, with its high photostability making it a promising material for DO and GO sensing.
