Abstract
To reduce the key sizes and bandwidth, public-key cryptographic systems have been proposed using d-th order characteristic sequences generated by a Linear feedback shift register (LFSR). The paper proposes an LFSR-based ring signature scheme which is supported with formal security arguments in the random oracle model. Our scheme enjoys the attractive features that main computations are performed in base field GF(q) and that its security is based on the difficulty of solving the discrete logarithm problem in extension field GF(qd).
