Abstract
Hydrophilic mesoporous carbons with an Ia3d mesostructure were successfully synthesized by a combined hydrothermal treatment and nanocasting strategy. The resultant carbon products were found to possess intrinsic peroxidase-like activity and this catalytic activity could be further enhanced by the introduction of carboxy groups on their surfaces.
