Abstract
Mesophase pitch solution was melted into carbon nanotubes (CNTs) sheet to fabricate carbon composites. The influence of heat treatment and mesophase pitch on microstructure and thermal conductivity was investigated. The structure evolution was characterized by SEM, Raman spectroscopy and thermal behavior was studied by thermal Analyzer. The results reveal that CNTs in nanocomposites linked each other by pitch carbon and form into CNTs networks. The microstructure and crystallization of CNTs-based nanocomposites appear to be improved by changing carbonization temperature from 400 to 800. The results proved that the thermal conductivities of CNTs-based nanocomposites are directly affected by carbonization temperature after pitch compounded with CNTs sheet.
