Abstract
Influence of incorporated alkali cation-exchanged zeolites on the catalytic performance of FCC catalysts was studied. The results show that K+- or Rb+-exchanged Y, β or ZSM-5 zeolites can enhance the crackability of heavy oil and improve the activity for hydrogen transfer reaction and isomerization. The effects of alkali cation-exchanged zeolites on catalyst performance increase with the decrease of silica/alumina ratio and the increase of particle size, which can be explained by the changes in acid-base properties and H2 adsorption-desorption of the incorporated catalysts.
