Abstract
Co-doped manganese-zinc (Mn-Zn) ferrites were prepared by a co-precipitation method. Effect of Co doping content on the structure and magnetic properties of the Mn-Zn ferrites was investigated. The results indicate that the dependence of Co content on the saturation magnetic induction and initial permeability exhibits the S-shaped features, which reach the maximum values of 373 mT and 7862 for the Mn-Zn ferrite with the Co content of 0.02% in mole, respectively. The temperature dependence of inductance showed that the temperature stability of initial permeability could be adjusted by the Co content and the sample with the Co content of 0.02% has a high initial permeability and good temperature stability. The corresponding mechanism was clarified based on the metal ion distribution.
