Abstract
A facile strategy is carried out to improve the performance of TS-1 via implanting heteroatom Zn in alkaline conditions. The Zn modified TS-1 exhibits an excellent activity and selectivity in the alkene epoxidation. Combined with various investigations, such a good performance mainly is attributed to the promoted electropositivity near the Ti sites and the more relaxed structure near Ti sites in TS-1-Zn, which are beneficial to facilitate the active intermediate formation. The better selectivity of epoxides could mainly be ascribed to the neutralization of acid sites with Zn species. And the strategy is successfully applied to Ti-MWW.
