Abstract

The periodic boundary employed in Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) algorithm is applied to scattering simulation from a two-dimensional randomly rough surface. Comparing with the conventional windowing function, this approach takes less illuminated length of rough surface and improves computational efficiency especially for the problem of low grazing angle.
