Abstract

Ti-MWW has been hydrothermally synthesized for the first time in the absence of crystallization-supporting agent of boron acid by means of cooperative templating effects of N,N,N-trimethyl-1-adamantammonium hydroxide (1-TMAda+OH-) and hexamethyleneimine (HMI). The use of potassium cations as a mineralization agent was also necessary for the crystallization. Boron-free Ti-MWW catalysts thus prepared showed a superior activity to boron-containing one in the liquid-phase epoxidation of alkenes with H2O2.
