Abstract

High-yield..... Highly ordered mesoporous SBA-15 materials with high-yield rod-like morphology were synthesized by use of inorganic salts; ordered mesoporous carbon rods with high yield were also obtained using the silica rods as templates. The inorganic salts can be used to control the morphology and to adjust the wall structure of mesoporous silica materials. Such ordered mesoporous carbon materials with uniform morhpology and extra large porosity may have potential use in catalysis and as nanoreactors for hydrophobic precursors.
