Abstract

In this paper, a high-efficiency single-substrate meta-atom is proposed for a transmissive OAM generator. Via in-plane rotation, full 2π phase coverage together with a high transmission amplitude of 0.9 could be achieved by the proposed meta-atom. A high-performance focused OAM generator with topological charge of 1 is designed and simulated. There is a good coincidence between the simulated results and theoretical predictions, indicating the proposed OAM generator highly applicable for wireless communication systems.
