Abstract

In this paper, we propose a hierarchical image presentation which composes of multi-scale regions and spatial relationships among them. A four-step process, combined with image segmentation, is introduced to construct a hierarchical presentation for an image. Hierarchical spatial reasoning with several reasoning rules proposed is used to reconstruct the presentation and guide image segmentation. Experiment results demonstrate the advantage of our approach.
