Abstract

Designated Hospital System (DHS) is the provider network formed by Chinese local government to provide service to the insured of Social Medical Insurance System (SMIS). This paper is an attempt to discover the problems of DHS in the least competitive situation by setting up a behavioral game model. We conclude that Designated Hospitals (DHs) have incentive to provide services at lower quality after they are in DHS, which runs in the opposite direction to what the government planned.
