Abstract

The vibrational modes in Hg1-XCdX Te epitaxial films were investigated by means of far-infrared transmission spectra within the temperature range from 4.2K to 300K, while the observation was carried out in the spectral range from 20cm-1 to 350cm-1 with emphasis put on the absorption behavior of samples in the wavenumber region at low-frequency side of the reststrahlen absorption band. Besides the single photon and two-phonon modes, the defects-induced vibrational modes and the impurities levels were also observed.
