Abstract
Porous anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) templates were prepared by two-step anodizing oxide method. By making use of the AAO templates, ZnS:Mn nanoparticles were fabricated with the method of electrochemical deposition. The AAO templates were tested by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The SEM image shows that the holes of the templates are well-distributed, and the diameter of the holes is uniform. ZnS:Mn nanoparticles were studied by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and photoluminescence (PL) measurements. The SEM image shows that a layer of ZnS:Mn nanoparticles has been deposited on AAO templates. PL measurements show that Mn ions had been doped into ZnS. The formation mechanism of ZnS:Mn nanoparticles are discussed from the angle of electronegativity angle.
