Abstract

The bright Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) beam (with quantum correlations between the quadrature-phase amplitudes of the spatially separated signals and the idler beams), and the bright two-mode quadrature squeezed light have been experimentally generated from a cw nondegenerate optical parametric amplifier (NOPA) injected by seed wave with degenerate frequency but orthogonal polarization. The squeezing of the bright two-mode amplitude squeezed light is 5.7 ± 0.2dB. The correlation of amplitude quadratures and phase quadratures between signals and idler modes are measured to be 5.4 ± 0.2dB and 5.4 ± 0.2dB respectively. The product of the inferred uncertainties for one beam is 0.332 ± 0.003.
