Abstract

Through methods such as literature review, historical analysis, and video observation, it has been found that ‘Aerobics’ cannot be identically compared to ‘Aerobic’ as a sports discipline. The former carries a complex historical connotation. American actress Jane Fonda has made a key contribution to the establishment of modern Aerobic. Furthermore, critical figures promoting the competitive trajectory of Aerobic include not only Howard Schwartz, whose contribution is well-recognized but also Koichi Konishi from Japan. Finally, with the collective efforts of SFI (ANAC), FIA (IAF), and FIG at different periods, the history of world Aerobic competition has shown periodical features of popularization, sportification, and gymnasticisation.
