Abstract

A novel route of SiO 2 antireflection films with Eu 3+ by sol-gel method has been employed to improve the conversion efficiency of Si solar cells. Measurements under standard test conditions showed the conversion efficiency of Si solar cell with anti-reflection film containing Eu 3+ was improved 9.5% as compared with the pure Si solar cell.
