N2 - The authors have identified errors to be corrected in the Research Article “Extreme Warming Coordinately Shifts Root and Leaf Traits of Alpine Plants toward Conservatism” [ 1 ]. These errors resulted from inadvertent copy-pasting and calculation mistakes during data preprocessing and primarily affected statistical significance levels in the original figures (Figs. 1-3 ). These errors have now been corrected below and in the HTML and PDF versions of the original publication. In addition to correcting Figs. 1-3, ten modifications were made to the text, as detailed below: Abstract 1. “decreased leaf mass by 12.3%” was revised to “decreased leaf mass by 13.2%”; Materials and Methods 2. A new sentence was added following the final statement of reference 24: “The poor growth performance of some species (e.g., Tibetia himalaica; Oxytropis ochrocephala) in pots limited the amount of plant material available for trait measurements. Consequently, while traits such as chlorophyll, tannin, lignin, and root exudates were measured separately for each replicate, other traits were quantified from pooled replicates, yielding a single composite measurement.” Statistical analysis 3. “paired t tests” was corrected to “paired t tests based on block design”. Results 4. “decrease in LA (11.37%, P < 0.001) and LM (12.28%, P < 0.001)” was updated to “decrease in LA (11.69%, P < 0.001) and LM (13.15%, P < 0.001)”; 5. “increased RTD and RE by 142.52%” was updated to “increased RTD and RE by 142.53%”; 6. “correlations with SRL, RE, SRA and RN” was revised to “correlations with SRL, SRA and RN”; 7. “(r = −0.49 and −0.43, respectively; Fig. 2B and Figs. S3C and S5G).” was corrected to “(r = −0.51 and −0.43, respectively; Fig. 2B and Figs. S3C and S5G).” 8. “(r = −0.40 for both; Fig. 2B, Fig. S5A, and B)“ was updated to “(r = −0.44 and −0.51, respectively; Fig. 2B, Fig. S5A, and B)”; 9. “(P = 0.02 and 0.01, respectively; Fig. 3E and F),” was corrected to “(P = 0.02 and 0.04, respectively; Fig. 3E and F),”. 10. “betweenness = 1.33 under control treatment” was corrected to “betweenness = 1.00 under control treatment”. These corrections do not alter the main conclusions of the study. Nevertheless, the authors sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconvenience they may have caused.
