Abstract

A highly enantioselective allylic substitution of sodium benzotriazolide has been attained in the presence of [Ir(COD)Cl]2/phosphoramidite ligand L1 together with K3PO4 as an additive, producing enantioenriched allylbenzotriazole compounds with up to 98% ee.
