Abstract

Four bifunctional salen-Ti complexes were synthesized and applied to the addition reaction of ethyl cyanoformate to aromatic aldehydes. Under the optimized reaction condition, the catalyst showed excellent activity and good enantioselectivity, and the yields were 86%-95% with the highest 92% ee.
