Abstract

Line intensities of methane have been obtained at 1.51 μ m. The measurements were performed based on direct absorption spectroscopy technique using a tunable diode laser (TDL) and a long optical path White cell. A total of 288 lines have been studied. Emphasis was put on the determination of their positions and intensities, most of which have not been reported before. The discussion is focused on the comparison between our measured parameters and those listed in the HITRAN04 database. For strong lines, a very good agreement is reported for both positions and intensities, while great discrepancies occur for weak lines.
