Electrochemical characterization of benzoyl formic acid at glassy carbon electrode in ionic liquid: [emim]Br

Abstract

The direct electrochemical reduction of benzoyl formic acid was investigated in ionic liquid, 1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium bromide ([emim]Br), using cyclic voltammetry and chronocoulometry. The diffusion coefficient (D) and the transfer coefficient (a) of benzoyl formic acid in [emim]Br were obtained.
