Abstract

In this paper, Community management and some optimization strategies of Web Services are presented based on the Peer-Serv framework, a decentralized infrastructure to apply Web Services in Peer-to-Peer (P2P) environments. With respect to the essential issues of Community management of services, our work focuses on the improvements and corresponding optimizations, as well as some novel strategies. Further, for the first time some efficient strategies of Community Reorganization, i.e. Simple, Threshold, and Demand-Driven Reorganization, are proposed, as well as the Community Saturation based method. What's more, a criterion called DoSic is also proposed to measure the satisfaction between providing and demanding of services in a Community. Preliminary experiments show our methods are effective, while they are suitable for other cases of the management of Web Services in P2P environments.
