Abstract

Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) films have been successfully deposited on Mo-coated glass substrates by the rapid thermal processing sulfurization of co-electroplated CZTS precursors. Effects of single-deposition potential and double-deposition potential on the properties of CZTS films and CZTS solar cells were investigated. The CZTS films deposited by double-deposition potential show a relatively flat surface and sufficient sulfurization, reduce considerably the thickness of MoS2 interfacial layer and thereby improve the device efficiency greatly by the boost of J sc and Voc compared with those deposited by single-deposition potential. The solar cell fabricated with the CZTS absorber deposited by double-deposition potential achieves a conversion efficiency of >3.06%.
