Abstract

A set of dynamic indicators for evaluation of environmental-performance in industrial enterprises was developed based on eco-efficiency indicator system presented by World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). On the basis of static evaluation and data envelopment analysis (DEA), the dynamic evaluation model of environmental performance was applied to measure the environmental performances of seven steel companies in 2002 and 2003 as case studies. This dynamic model could comprehensively reflect environmental performance of an enterprise in the year of evaluation and the contribution to its successive improvement in the enterprise, which could provide both government and general public more integrated information on environmental performance.
