Dual-band Four-beam Generator Base on 2-bit Reflective Coding Metasurface

Abstract

The coding metasurface has received widespread attention in recent years. It links the traditional electromagnetic phase metasurface with digital signals, and realizes a powerful electromagnetic wave manipulation ability. In this work, a dual-band 2-bit reflective coding metasurface is designed. For a design example, a dual-band four-beam generator is implemented by giving a proper encoding to the proposed metasurface through the signal processing algorithm. The four-beam generator is fed by horn antenna and the simulation results are in consistent with the design goals. This work can be applied to the future wireless communication.
