Diverse solitons interactions in the formation of dissipative optical soliton molecules

Abstract

Using real-time measurement techniques, we firstly unveil four nonlinear stages in the build-up of soliton molecules in an ultrafast fiber laser, which are modulation instability, mode locking, soliton fission and diverse solitons interactions.
