Abstract
This study investigates the impact of the digital economy on high-quality agricultural development in China, using data from 285 prefecture-level cities between 2012 and 2022. Results show a significant positive spatial autocorrelation for the digital economy and high-quality agricultural development globally. Local digital economies drive agricultural development with limited regional spillovers. Heterogeneity exists, with the eastern regions benefiting more, and labor transfer plays a key role.
