Abstract

Poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene-chlorofloroethylene) films were fabricated by Langmuir-Blodgett method, and then further irradiated by low energy electron irradiation with different dose. All samples have been investigated by temperature and dc electric-field dependences of dielectric response. It was found that both the non-irradiated and irradiated samples exhibit diffuse phase transition and relaxor-like characteristics. Besides, the weak butterfly hysteresis still persists at room temperature for P(VDF-TrFE-CFE) films. These results were correlated with the existence of polar nanoregions, as well established in terms of a multipolarization mechanism model.
