Abstract

Dielectric properties of PZT/Ag composites have been investigated. The dielectric constant of PZT/Ag composite increases significantly with increasing silver content, whereas, dissipation factor increases little. The dielectric constant of PZT/Ag composite with 8 vol.% Ag is above six times higher than that of the monolithic PZT. The dielectric peak temperatures are slightly shifted to low temperatures with the silver addition. The dielectric constants of PZT/Ag composites are frequency dependent in the case of the high Ag content (>1 vol.%).
