Abstract

Vanadium tolerant resid cracking catalyst LV-23 consist of modified Y zeolites at high silica/alumina ratio as the active components and especially prepared alumina as the main component of the matrix. Its high activity, stability and selectivity, outstanding vanadium tolerance and bottoms cracking capability characterize LV-23. A discussion covers the creation of LV-23 catalyst; commercial applications of LV-23 catalyst, i.e., at Maoming Petrochemical Co, Jinling Petrochemical Co, Lanzhou Petroleum and Chemical Complex, and Jinxi Petroleum Refining & Chemical Complex; and advantages of using LV-23.
