Abstract

The performance of zeolite ZSM-5, Beta, and MCM-22 as FCC catalyst additive components was studied. The catalyst with MCM-22 yielded more naphtha, LCO and coke, less gas comparing with the catalyst with ZSM-5, and less naphtha and LCO, more coke and gas compared with the catalyst with Beta. While the cracking mechanism ratio (CMR) of MCM-22 was lower than that of ZSM-5, similar to that of Beta, which means that the 12MR cups on the crystal of MCM-22 played an important role in catalytic cracking reaction. The performance of MCM-22 in cracking reaction was between that of ZSM-5 and Beta, and was close to that of Beta.
