title = "Comparison of Two Approaches for Evacuation Plan with Multiple Exits",
abstract = "Living space in urban area is getting more crowded with the advance of urbanization. Meanwhile, the increasing of population does a favor for it as well. The situation actuates the immediacy of making an efficient evacuation plan, which is capable of evacuating people to safe areas orderly. In view of this, this paper compares the efficiency of two staged evacuation approaches, i.e., virtual node approach and optimal allocation approach, under different scenarios with the road network of Jing{\textquoteright} an district, Shanghai. A simulation program is also realized to visualize the evacuation process. Results illustrate that optimal allocation approach performs better than the virtual node approach under these scenarios.",
