Abstract
The construction of Shanghai Pudong International Airport will have to take up. Some local tidal flats where lies the site for the habitat of birds as well as the place for temporary stop during the course of bird migration. This paper presents the ecological environmental characteristics of Pudong tidal flat Dongtan and Jiuduansha, evaluates the possibility of making Jiuduansha the alternative to Dongtan place for the conservation of birds and puts forward some relevant suggestions.
