Abstract

We demonstrated an all-PM-fiber Er-laser mode-locked by nonlinear amplifier loop mirror (NALM). An additional phase shifter with π/2 phase delay in the nonlinear loop dramatically decreased the mode-locking threshold. Moreover, the mode-locking build-up time is shortened to less than 7 ms by optimizing the cavity net dispersion.
