Abstract

Flexible field emitters were fabricated with carbon nanotube (CNT) film, and their field emission properties under various bending conditions were investigated. The flexible CNT field emitters exhibited a good field emission performance. Moreover, they showed a stable and uniform emission after bending, indicating that the stress has no remarkable effect on the field emission properties of the flexible emitters. The achieved results demonstrate that our flexible emitters can be used for high performance, large-size and low-cost flexible field emission devices.
