Abstract
The wave equations for an ultrashort tightly-focused laser pulse were solved approximately in the Hermite-Gaussian (0,0) mode. The analytical field expressions were obtained, which were exact up to the second order of parameters. The comparison of the solutions with usual paraxial solutions was done.
