Abstract

This chapter delves into five perspectives from classical Chinese philosophy that could contribute to a better world for humanity or a more harmonious ‘homoverse’ if embraced more widely. These perspectives contrast with prevailing Western philosophical views concerning human life to varying degrees. The discussion aims to persuade readers that adopting these alternative views can yield more positive outcomes in human coexistence on Earth, including environmental and cultural respect, community building, education, and a healthy understanding of personal freedom.
