Abstract

Polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimers with different generations (0-5) were investigated as curing agents in epoxy resin systems. Flory's gelation theory and the Avrami equation were used to predict the cure behavior of epoxy resin/PAMAM/imidazole at various temperatures and PAMAM concentrations. The theoretical prediction is in good agreement with the experimental results obtained from the dynamic torsional vibration method.
