Abstract

Bench scale and pilot scale test evaluations of OlefinsMax assistant for producing more propylene have been carried out and its application in 60,000 bpd FCC unit of Zhenhai Petroleum Refining and Chemical Co Ltd has been summarized. Propylene yield has been evidently increased by adding OlefinsMax assistant in the main catalyst. When production load of the unit is 80%, then, by adding 3-4% OlefinsMax assistant in main catalyst, > 50 ton propylene is produced every day without any negative effect on gasoline quality. Good economic benefits have been obtained.
