Abstract
The absorption spectrum of vacuum deposited phthalocyanine thin films showed a comparatively broad absorption region at the wavelength region 580-850 nm, which matched with the wavelengths of semiconductor diode lasers. The optical recording performance and the read-out degradation test were investigated and analysed.
