Abstract

The ground bands and β-bands of four nuclei ^230,232Th and ^232,234U in the actinide region are investigated by introducing a collective D₀ pair into the projected shell model. We discuss the collectivity of the D₀ pair. The calculated energy schemes agree well with experimental data, and so do the E2 transition rates.
