Abstract

In the study, 45 first-year freshmen in educational technology majors were required to learn the 'Professional Navigation in Educational Technology' course. The main task of the course is to let students know what the profession is doing and how it is done; the aim is to train future educational technology experts. This study conducts process evaluation and summative evaluation of students by collecting data on students' learning, discussion, and assignments. At the same time, we also collect information on students' basic information and professional adaptability through questionnaires. Through the data analysis of the pre- and post-test questionnaires, we found that the 'Education Technology Professional Navigation Course' helps students to improve their professional awareness, professional level, professional adaptability and professional recognition. The study shows that the intervention of professional navigation courses is helpful for the professional development of students and is of great significance for cultivating future educational technology experts.
