Abstract

Hyperspectral imaging has been dramatically developed and used for biomedical analysis which can help doctors or researchers with diagnosis of various diseases. This paper presents a fully automatic system for hyperspectral image capture and preprocessing. The system is composed of two parts, the hardware building and the software programming. In order to get more useful information, users can adjust parameters, such as exposure time, operational state of the Charge-coupled Device (CCD) camera, etc. The related parameters can be modified through the software before image capture conveniently. The system allow users to do preprocessing for the acquired images, and the influences of external environment on images can be eliminated. To evaluate the performance of the new system, various images acquired under different parameters settings are showed in this paper. One of the most proper CCD parameters settings is presented in the discussion section to reduce time consumption.
