Abstract

A collapsed disordered Co-based metal-organic framework (MOF) upon evacuation after thermal treatment was employed as an anode in a Li-ion cell, showing enhanced lithium storage properties, compared with the crystalline counterpart. The result suggests that, contrary to popular belief, the skeleton integrity of MOFs might not be necessary for their reversible lithium storage.
