Abstract

Solution properties of dendrimer DAB(PA) n and hyperbranched polyester were studied by measuring viscosity parameters. The adsorption constant k, critical concentration c a, intrinsic viscosity [η] and intermolecular association K m were calculated. The unique behavior of intrinsic viscosity observed for the samples was explained preliminarily. The adsorption phenomenon of polymer solution is general, and the adsorption theory is also fitted for dendritic macromolecules. Multilayer adsorption was obtained in dendrimer and hyperbranched polymer solutions. The intermolecular force between macromolecules and solvent molecules (such as hydrogen bonds) is the important factor affecting the adsorption layer thickness.
